Juliana has been studying a Visual Communication Design course at Christchurch Polytechnic and joined Pablos Art Studios in 1997.

A water colour artist, Juliana only started painting three years ago, she has developed her own style and recently started exploring painting in oils. Her paintings have been exhibited in Wellington café houses, group exhibitions, and in Pablos Annual Art Auction.

Previous work as an Import-Export Officer for a shipping company for five years, added to Julianas' love of the sea and her attraction to water. She has always lived by the sea and enjoys snorkeling and exploring the beaches.

Born in Wellington Juliana has lived in Christchurch. She has traveled extensively around the world - including tripping around America in a campervan for seven months, and living in England for three years.

This is Julianas' first solo exhibition and these works have been painted over the past six months.

A lighthouse, was the first ever painting Juliana created. It inspired her to learn more about water colour, resulting in endless nights spent painting.

"the best thing about water colours is the way the unexpected happens when you paint it... like the sky... you get in a mood when you've got a picture in your head, and it doesn't turn out how you expected, the unexpected happens."
