Athina Moisa

I first started making art when I came to Pablos and I will always remember the good feeling I had when my first paintings sold at the Pablos auction.

A lot of my work is tapestry using wool and created with an abstract sensibility. I often create friendly homes and communities.  People tell me my sense of colour is unique and they like the skies in my work – they are certainly not the usual blue.

I have learnt a lot about art since I’ve been here. I like learning how to use different materials and mixing paint. I recently worked together with another artist here to create a painting for a Pablos group show.  It’s stimulating seeing what the other artists here are doing and I also enjoy going to other galleries to see what the wider artistic community is producing. .

For me Pablos is a great place to meet people, socialise and learn about new art materials and techniques.
